So, I’ve been up in Detroit for 2 weeks now. It’s definitely different from what I expected. Internship at GM is pretty awesome, but now I gotta blog because there’s so much I won’t remember and I have to do some presentation at the end of summer of what I learned and what I did throughout the summer.
Things done so far:
1. Default Password Database- finding default passwords for routers, printers, computers, etc.
2. Issue Map- Find all outstanding audit issues and map issues based on location or specific type of issue
The people here are really nice and my roommate is pretty cool. The only things I hate are going grocery shopping once a week only and having to do my own laundry. :-( Haven’t started cooking yet, but hopefully I will have time to later.

List of awkward things to do in one day:
1. Riding in the elevator with someone after you attempted to press the close button.
2. Saying hi to someone who looks like someone you know…but you really don’t.
3. Asking someone how they play Quidditch on the ground at an intersection after you seem them holding broomsticks.
More to add to my list later…

Totally what i would do in that situation
So today, I joined the cool crowd. I started reading. What!? Yes I started reading, government platforms. It was great. NOT. I think the only purpose of reading is to make yourself tired and go to sleep easier. Anyways, the thing that has been troubling me is what to make next. I’m sort of at a cooking slump and kinda have no motivation to start again. Been looking at recipes lately and there’s just so many things. I kinda want to do something bite sized, so maybe cupcakes or small cakes. Mini bundt cakes, or mini cheesecakes. Maybe some brownies, or some tarts? I DON’T KNOW. Then there’s like the ingredients part that I love. Walnuts, Maraschino cherries, pecans, strawberries, mangoes, matcha green tea powder, bananas, nutella, chocolate, vanilla, vanilla bean..so many things I could use. I can’t decide. Maybe I’ll narrow it down to a few and make all of them :O.
So, I realized that my whole pleasure reading consists of Costco coupon books and the occasional Money magazine. T__T I want to start reading, but I’m not really sure what constitutes a “good” book. Any suggestions? and uhhh preferably something interesting like maybe something with finance or some kind of economics in it :). Or some fiction, anything works.
So I want to start preparing my kitchen for college, but the trouble is I don’t even know what I need. I’m gonna start a cooking club next year, basically when I have time and I don’t have that much school work I’m gonna bake random desserts or make random foods. I’ll probably either do a Facebook/Tumblr post to notify peeps about food/desserts. If you’re interested in trying that dessert/food then I’ll either deliver or meet people somewhere. Probably need to get more connected on Tumblr to do that, or make a private facebook group. Either way, wanna see who’s interested.
So, I’ve never known how to blog. Nor do I ever update this. Hopefully I’ll blog more, but I’ve wanted to cook for a long time and that’s what I’ll be doing instead of blogging. Right now, I’m torn between majors, and so confused on why I have to make a decision. Ultimately, I’ve wanted to become a pastry chef, but that..doesn’t quite pay the bills unless you’re hella famous. Anyways, uh yeah…i’ll try to update.. on my boring life.
